Evergreen Marketing Funnels with real synchronized Deadlines and Countdown Timers

Deadline Funnel Review and Bonus

What is Deadline Funnel?

Deadline Funnel is an easy to use cloud-based application to create evergreen Marketing Funnels with real (text) Deadlines and Countdown Timers (inline or floating).

And the best part…

Your Deadlines and Timers are synchronized everywhere inside your funnel

on all your marketing pages (f.e. sales, squeeze, order) and inside your emails.

You can trigger your (evergreen) timer at any moment you want.

I mean, the moment your lead clicks on a Deadline Funnel link, your evergreen timer starts counting (or you can even hide the timer until a certain time before the end time).

This can be on an opt-in page, sales page, or inside your email…

And really smart…

Deadline Funnels uses cross device tracking.

So, it doesn’t matter which device or browser your leads are using. They can switch between devices and/or browsers and they still always see your synchronized deadlines/timers.

To ensure real scarcity, Deadline Funnel has 2 awesome features…

Single Point of Entry Feature:

If someone enters your funnel at the wrong place, you can force them to start your campaign at the right place.

F.e. if a new lead lands on your thank you page (in case someone has shared the URL) but without opt-in first, you can automatically redirect them to your Opt-in page.

Redirect Tracked Visitors Away from Opt-in Page Feature:

On the other hand, if your timer hits zero, you won’t allow your visitors to re-use the opt-in page to start their timer again.

Well, with this option, if your visitor tries to go to the opt-in page again (after already being subscribed), he’ll be automatically redirected to any URL you’ve set.

Integration:
Deadline Funnel Integration

Deadline Funnel perfectly integrates with all major Email Providers and web platforms (CRM, Webinar, Checkout Card, Membership, Chat). Either via easy to setup API, or by using Zapier.

Furthermore, you can use Deadline Funnel with any Page Builder where you can add a piece of (tracking) code inside the header tag. So, whether you are using WordPress, ClickFunnels, LeadPages, WP Profit Builder, Thrive Themes, etc. you name it, you can use Deadline Funnel!

Yes, even if that Page Builder already has a built-in scarcity timer…

Why would you use a Deadline Timer instead?

Because of the integration (and trigger) features and fact that you can also show synchronized timers inside your emails and any other web page (not created by the Page Builder).

How to setup your Deadline Funnels?

Follow these steps… (click images to enlarge)

Step 1 Select your Campaign Type

Deadline Funnel Select Type of Campaign
Select “Product Launch” for a campaign where all your prospects have the same fixed deadline.

Or select “Evergreen” for any marketing funnel where each prospects’ deadline is determined by when they enter the funnel.

Step 2 Select Funnel Steps + Trigger Moment when Lead enters the Funnel

Deadline Funnel Select Trigger
There are 4 ways that someone can enter your funnel:

  • When someone opt-in to your email list. Deadline Funnel integrates with all major ESPs.
  • When triggering a web hook with your email provider.
  • When someone visits a web page (f.e. squeeze, thank you, landing, or sales page).
  • Email trigger. When someone clicks on a link inside your email.

Step 3 Email Setup + Add additional info to your campaign

Deadline Funnel Campaigns Settings
Here you give you campaign a name, add the product to promote, add the squeeze/sales page URL, select your Page Builder, select your email provider, set your deadline date/time, and add the redirect URL after the deadline.

Now Deadline Funnels automatically creates email and page links for each funnel step that you create.

As you can see in this example…

Deadline Funnel Email Setup ExampleSo, you can use these separate links inside your emails or other platforms.

Step 4 Appearance Settings – Customize your Timers

You can customize (colors, fonts, size etc.) your timer exactly how you want it to show up (square or rounded shapes) on either your web pages or inside your emails (2 separate setup settings).

Just watch the demo video to give you a short overview…

Step 5 Place the tracking code on your Page(s) and use the special email links

Step 6 Test your Deadline Funnel campaign

Deadline Funnel Testing Campaign

How does Deadline Funnel track Leads?

Deadline Funnel tracks your visitors by looking for:

  • Cookies on the device.
  • An IP address match in the database.
  • An email match in the database.

The first two are common and are done automatically.

To get an email match in the database…

There are several ways to tell Deadline Funnel what the email address is for a tracked visitor:

  • Optin form integration.
  • API integration.
  • Appending the email address to a Deadline Funnel email link.

In the last case, you use a special link inside your emails…

This is how it works…

As described in step 3 above, Deadline Funnels automatically creates an email link for funnel step that you create. Hence, use that link inside your emails anywhere that you’re linking to that funnel step (instead of using the actual Page URL in your email).

Optin Form Integration vs API Integration

In general, the API integration is usually the best option for integrating Deadline Funnel with your email provider because the API allows:

  • Streamlined setup for working with custom fields.
  • The ability to trigger your Deadline Funnel at virtually any point in your email sequence or automation.

Deadline Funnel currently has API integrations with:

For all other applications, you can use the Opt-in Form integration or use the predefined Zapier Zaps.

Main features of Deadline Funnel:

  • Fixed deadline and Evergreen Campaigns.
  • Text deadlines and timers.
  • Inline bars (on both web pages and inside emails) and top or bottom floating bars with CTA (only on web pages).
  • Perfect synchronization across multiple pages and emails in your funnel.
  • Cross-device tracking.
  • Full Appearance customization with fonts, colors, shapes etc.
  • Templates: 10 sticky bar and 10 inline/short code templates.
  • Opt-in Form or API Integration with all major Email Marketing Services, Webinar Services, Payment Processors, Membership Systems, CRMs, ECommerce and more…
  • WordPress integration via Plugin and short codes or just add tracking code in header tag.
  • Can be used on any Page Builder. Just add tracking code in header tag.
  • Flexible Timer End Settings. After timer ends, you can redirect to any URL. Or keep the leads on the same page but don’t show the timer anymore, and/or show different messages if timer is active / stops. You can even hide the timer until certain number of days remaining!
  • World-class support, clear instructions and help/FAQ articles.

What makes Deadline Funnel so special?

Well, REAL SCARCITY for evergreen campaigns, where your leads will see your synchronized timers (only after they have been triggered at the right moment you have set) everywhere in your funnel (on both web pages and inside your emails), no matter what device or browser they use, and with “no option” to bypass the scarcity, because the leads’ IP address, Browser Cookie(s), and email address are saved in the Deadline Funnel database.

And PERFECT INTEGRATION with all major email providers and web platforms. Ensuring that you can easily build (evergreen) marketing campaigns and funnels with smart triggers, deadlines and timers which will definitely increase your conversions if properly used. And without the headache of manually keep tracking of your timers, show “fake” timers, or lose trust by ended timers while leads can still buy your offers.

So, it’s no surprise that there are many testimonials from well-known marketers and that Deadline Funnels is used and promoted by marketers like James Schramko, Frank Kern, Andre Chaperon, Todd Brown, Jon Benson, David Siteman Garland, Perry Marshall, Ryan Lee, Jonathan Mizel, James Wedmore, Navid Moazzez, Melyssa Griffin, and thousands of entrepreneurs just like you!

Plus as extra great unique feature, you can use Text Deadlines…

Of course, you can easily do this inside your emails (or on your web pages) for fixed time deadlines, but I have never seen a solution doing this for evergreen campaigns.

Deadline Funnel Text Deadlines

Are there any shortcomings?

Well not really. I found some minor “issues”…

You currently can’t set the Deadline based on the Prospect’s Time Zone (everything is based upon the Time Zone settings you set for each campaign).

Actually this “shortcoming” is a good feature, otherwise the timing could become an issue if your email software is set for a specific time zone and the deadline was set to each lead’s individual time zone.

Also, you can select either a top or bottom floating bar. You can’t use both on one page. (but why would you do that?)

You have to add the tracking code to each individual web page where you want your timer to show up. As far as I can see, you can’t add the code to show up on every page of your blog (or on all post inside in category or using a tag). Again, no big deal as I can hardly think about a usage where you’ll show your timer on all your pages.

Except if you want to trigger any new website visitor with for example a 15 minute coupon code. You can’t do that with Deadline Funnel (you can only set this up for one specific landing page).

Also, you can’t use the same timer in different campaigns (and have to set up a new campaign for each funnel). For me, no big deal. But I can imagine if you have “mixed” funnels (using landing pages and timers in more than one funnel), that it’s somewhat annoying to create a new timer (i.e. funnel). Especially, because you can’t save your timer templates.

But overall, once you get used to it, you can set up your campaign really fast.

Of course, due to all the smart things you now can do, it will take you some extra time to get used to Deadline Funnel, set up everything properly, and to test your campaign settings. But that’s a small price in comparison to all the new smart ways you can now use real set-and-forget scarcity in your (evergreen) campaigns.

And yes, it comes with monthly fees probably higher than you are paying now for your timers, but it’s absolutely worth your investment…
